II. Treasurer’s
Report (Tom Opie)

Tom reported that approximately $20K in registration income has been
received thus far (not including checks received tonight) and $5,528 from the
yearbook fundraiser (Production Marketing Services.
·
Tom distributed a summary of registrants to date. At this time, 139 players and 106
cheerleaders have signed up for the 2003 season.
·
Still only 9 girls have registered for 5th grade
cheering. Debbie LeBlanc stated that
registrations for this grade will be accepted until July 31st. Kevin Doble will
publicize in both local papers.
·
It appears that registration for football players will end up in the
150-155 range, based on coaches projections of
unregistered players from 2002. This
number is down slightly from last season’s total of 161.
IV.
2003 Head Coach Appointments (Mike Skiotis)

Mike announced the following head coaching assignments for the upcoming
season:
A Ron
Hennessey
JVA Bob
Marraffa
B Tom
Ladd
JVB Rich
Smith
·
The C team position will remain open while Mike further evaluates the
candidates.
·
Based on the registration numbers, there is the possibility of an
additional JVB team. A decision on this
will be made within the next 2-3 weeks.
·
The CAYFL A & B schedules have been
published (see handout).
·
Mike is in the process on constructing schedules for the JVA, JVB, and
C teams.
·
All assistant coaches will be required to complete CORI forms prior to
the season.
·
Sam briefed the group on the monthly CAYFL meeting:

The A team jamboree is scheduled for Sept. 7th in

The cheering competition will be held on Nov. 1st in

The league roster meeting is scheduled for Sept. 3rd at DHS

The CAYFL insurance fee is $1,146 for the season (Tom O. to send
check).

Mike Skiotis announced that Mark Arnoldy has arranged for a loaner popcorn machine for the
season. Mike will move forward with the
purchase of a new hot dog steamer.
·
Kevin Doble indicated that he is awaiting
invoices for recently purchased apparel.
·
Tom Marden will distribute equipment to those
attending the Bavaro Brothers Football Camp this
Sunday (7/13).
A motion to adjourn was made by Bob Marraffa, seconded by Mike Skiotis,
