·
Equipment
distribution (helmets, shoulder pads, stickers) for 8th graders took
place this evening. Most registered
players showed up and the process was reasonably smooth.

grade on Fri., 8/10; 5th grade on Mon., 8/13; and 4th
grade on Tue., 8/14.
·
A
minimal amount of equipment from last year remains unreturned. Mike Skiotis emphasized that ensuring all
equipment is returned is the coach’s responsibility and warned that this would
be a key determinant in the selection of coaches the following season.
·
Mike
reported that the uniforms for the C teams have arrived and have been given to
the coaches for sizing. Shirts for the
remaining divisions are expected in before 9/1.
·
A
registration summary and detail listing was distributed for review. A few registrations continue to trickle in
at all grade levels.

will establish a practice field schedule with coaches for all divisions.
·
A
new key for the Riverside School (lights) will be obtained from the town. A $50 deposit is required.

teams.
·
A
CAYFL meeting for A & B coaches will take place on Wednesday, August

birth certificates presented at this meeting.
·
A
meeting of CAYFL coaches will be held on Wed., 9/5 from 7:00 to 10:00 PM at
Danvers High School. Coaches at the AA,
BB, and C levels will complete their schedules at this meeting. Mike will maintain the master schedule and
all coaches must report to him before finalizing games. He will attempt to group games (i.e.
Saturday tripleheaders) as much as possible for snack bar facilitation. In addition, he strongly suggested that coaches
obtain names/phone #’s of opposing coaches and to check in with them a week in
advance of the scheduled game.
·
An
issue relative to the start times of home games was discussed at length. Last year game officials often pushed up
starting times to begin immediately following the preceding game, thus causing
concern that some parents may miss a portion of the game. To remedy this situation, Mike agreed to
schedule home games in 1:15 increments, rather than 1:30 as in the past.
