All children that were registered last year and have not registered this year will be called to see if they intend to register.
Registration for football will close August 1st. Any registrations made after June 14th will pay the late registration, $100.00 for a single registration and $140.00 for a family registration.
Catherine Wolniewicz asked that the registration be closed earlier than the original cut off date of June 15th for the 6th 7th and 8th grade squads because of the high registration numbers. Tom Ladd thought that it should remain June 15th for every squad to avoid complaints.
Tom Ladd, Mike Mansfield and Bill Harrison were on the committee to choose the recipients of the DYF Scholarship. There were 4 candidates, three football players and one cheerleader. After considering their applications the committee decided to give a $250.00 to two of the candidates, Anthony Wijeyesinghe (DHS) and Kevin Tierney (SJP).
Danvers Youth Football apparel will be sold on the Rydel Website this year. There will be a 4-week window in which people can make purchases. Rydel is giving the league a 25% discount. Tom Ladd thinks that the bulk of the discount should be given to the parents. Prices are very competitive. Orders will be shipped directly to the customer’s house. A handout will be given to the coaches to give to families with the details.
The transition for Barry Little to pass the snack bar responsibilities to Scott Nathan is progressing successfully. The prices at the snack bar will be consistent with the prices of the other sport snack bars in town.
